Here it is, just mid-October, and the
Geartrade crew is proud to report that our
newly launched consignment program is a-flurry with activity. We have a massive amount of gear being sent in by people who love the idea of having us list their stuff, sell it for them, and pay them. And, we have an equally massive number of customers swiftly purchasing those items. The stoke for UnNew is high.
Winter buying and selling is well underway.
Winter goods are coming in hot, and there’s some excellent stuff to be found, especially if you’re dialing in your ski clothing and setup for the coming season.

If you’re in the market for
winter gear, we’re getting a massive number of skis, boots, boards, AT gear, technical shells, down jackets, fleeces, and bindings from these brands, with no end in sight. If you have any winter items to sell right now, it’s time. You can sell it consignment-style, super easy, or list it yourself and make a little more.
There are still Fall and Summer goodies on the shelf.
While we’re maximally psyched about winter, we shouldn’t skip mentioning that we’ve received a ton of excellent consignment items fit for fall and summer use, like tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, backpacking packs, and climbing shoes.
It’s a great time to think about gaps in your gear getup so your remaining fall adventures and upcoming summer adventures will be perfectly dialed in. Do you need a lighter backpacking tent, a summer sleeping bag, a warmer sleeping bag for high altitude snoozing, or more comfortable rock climbing shoes?
Every item has a story. And you’re its next chapter.
As we see gently used (and well loved) UnNew gear making its way to us via our
consignment program, we love imagining the places each item has been. We admire the fact that it still has lots of life in it, whether it’s a technical ski shell or a climbing approach shoe. And we imagine how cool it will be when, someday soon, each item finds its way to its next owner, who will take it on even more adventures in fresh places.
