GT Gear Roundup: February Shreduary

Oh hey, friends. Sorry we didn’t see you there—we had our POW SNORKELS on. What a winter it’s been here in Utah. We hope wherever you are, you’re playing in abundant snow (or whatever your stoke source of choice is)! We can’t believe it’s already February. Even though it still feels like winter, the first sun rays of early spring are poking through. It has us dreaming of parking-lot apres-ski, dusk-patrol ski touring, weekend bike trips to the desert, the first fifty-degree-day crack climbs … more good things than we can count! To that end, we’ve pulled together an Early Spring Things gear roundup—some of the things we’ve got in plentiful amounts here on Geartrade. Things that belong in your spring party plans. Sunglasses

It’s time to ramp up your arsenal of shades for spring—and we know that, at full retail, such a thing would be a splurge. But not UnNew! There are currently hundreds of sunglasses on Geartrade, many of which are gently or barely worn, from brands we all love like Smith, Electric, Zeal, Oakley, POC, Costa, Julbo, and more. They’re in every style and type, from mountain biking glasses with wind-blocking lenses to fashion-forward retro-inspired sunnies. Softshells

Come spring, your hardshell ski or board jacket will spend a little more time in the closet thanks to warmer temps and drier days. But you still need a nice, breathable shell—and that’s where spring softshells come in! These high-performers keep a touch of warmth in but easily let perspiration evaporate out, which makes them clutch for backcountry ski days, spring hikes, bike rides, and trail runs. Right now, we happen to have a plethora of softshells in every size, thickness, and brand, ranging from Arc’teryx to Mountain Hardwear to Jack Wolfskin, Mammut, The North Face, and more. One piece ski suits

No need to find a ski party when you are the ski party. You may think that one-piece ski suits are hard-to-find thrift store treasures. But that’s just what The Man would have you believe. In fact, they’re easy to source right here on Geartrade. That’s right—colorful, snazzy, blast-from-the-past getups ready for your finest parking-lot sashay and your fiercest daffy. Browse the goods, find your fave, and prepare to dominate April apres. Man and a woman cooking burgers from tailgate in ski resort parking lot

Camp furniture for parking lot / trailhead hangouts

Did you know that March is National Parking Lot Apres Month? (Technically we made that up but it’s real to us.) Prepare to celebrate your spring exploits on the ski hill and on the bike trail with some superb camp chairs, recliners, packable tables, camp kitchens, and cots. (Did you know a cot makes an amazing coffee table? Yep. And a stool makes a fine end-table.) You can find all this and more (such as multi-burner camp stoves to prep ramen and toddies, not necessarily in that order). Mountain biker jumping in sunset

Bike goods

We get carried away talking about skiing this time of year, but we shouldn’t forget spring bike season is coming right up. Which means now is the time to give our bikes a proper tune, clean-up, and assessment. Take inventory of what your bike might need, because you can order it UnNew here on Geartrade in plenty of time to fix your bike up before its first warm-afternoon jaunt on the singletrack. We’ve got all things bike—saddles, pedals, grips, wheels, rotors, brakes, frames, you name it. You can even check out our latest inventory of bike clothing, from jerseys to shoes and everything in between. Are you as jazzed up for February as we are? Let us know what gear you’re seeking to fulfill the early-spring stoke. And tag us in the adventure pics! We love seeing UnNew gear and clothing out in the world and in your feed.
