GT: May Gear Roundup

This month, we’re celebrating perfect weather and multi-sport mashups in which we indulge in climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, and camping all within the same glorious season. Spring has sprung, and the Geartrade community all over the country has been listing gear, buying gear, and making merry in the great outdoors. Listings and consignment submissions have been bumpin’, and people are jazzed about our new rewards program. If you’re interested in our hottest listings, here are a few item types that we have lots and lots of—exciting clothing, gear, and accessories that make mountain days (and apres) all the sweeter.

Packs and running vests

Backpacks, running vests, and hip packs (a.k.a. fanny packs) are an everyday tool for outdoor people to lug their gear, layers, and water from point A to point B. There are countless pack types out there, and right now we have something of just about everything. From large backpacking packs to compact day packs, hydration packs, running vests, hip packs, climbing packs, and everything in between, you can find it on Geartrade right at this moment.

Bike shoes and accessories

Really, we’ve got a bit of all things bike right now, whether road cycling or mountain biking (or both) are your thing. We’ve especially got a great stockpile of cycling shoes, so you can take the chance to up your game with a great pair for a deep bargain. While you’re at it, take a peek at jerseys, shorts, tools, and bike parts that can make your day even smoother.

Casual dresses and skirts

Dress enthusiasts, this one’s for you: you know how lovely it is to slip into a casual hangout dress or skirt after a day outside, and right now we’ve got some adorable little numbers from brands like Patagonia, Prana, Toad & Co, Jack Wolfskin, Carve Designs, and others. Find tons of good-looking getups made in unfussy fabrics fit for hanging out around the bonfire, barbecue, bar, for festival field.

Climbing shoes

We always have lots and lots of great climbing gear and accessories, from ropes to stoppers to chalk bags. But right now you’ll find an exceptionally nice selection of climbing shoes, which cost a lot at full retail but are totally affordable UnNew on Geartrade. Whether you want an aggressive shoe for steeps, a comfy slipper for a sunny day of slabs, or an approach shoe with the right grip for the job, there’s something for you.

Camp comforts

Any camper or backpacker knows the devil (and the comfort) is in the details. Whether it’s the perfect camp cookset with just the right tools (no more, no less), the best lightweight lantern you ever found, or a tent you love for its easy setup, the right gear makes a massive difference in your outings. As camping and backpacking season is just getting underway, it’s the perfect time to plan out what gear could use replacing or improving, what you’re missing, and what you might want to list and sell for the next person to enjoy. While you’re out there, be sure to snap lots of pics of your UnNew gear in use—we love seeing and featuring your pics to spread the stoke!
