The Maven is SRAM's most powerful brake they have ever made, and it features oversized pistons and pads to give next-level power. With 50% more power than SRAM Codes and a 32% reduction in lever force, the Maven caliper was born for all-out aggressive downhill and enduro riding. The Maven caliper is exceptionally thick and has a greater thermal mass than other SRAM calipers, meaning it resists excessive heat build-up and stays warmer for longer to keep the ideal operating temperature for optimal performance. The four-bolt design on the side of the caliper makes for a stiffer construction when under extreme braking forces, reducing power loss and making for a more solid feel. The Maven is a hybrid between the budget-friendly mineral oil SRAM DB8 brake and the most recent iteration of the premium SRAM Code, giving us a low maintenance, mineral oil brake that has massive power on delivery suitable for downhill riding. Stealth technology improves the lever construction and makes for a cleaner look with tidier cable routing, and a pad contact adjustment wheel and tool-free reach adjustment give us rider-friendly ergonomics and tuneability.
