When the canyon walls close in and you find yourself committed to the flow of a technical descent, the SLOT SRS Rapide 38L is built to keep rope and gear organized while standing up to the abuse of desert canyoneering. Designed in Moab, Utah to meet the unique demands of the southwest desert, this a rare and increasingly difficult-to-find piece of canyoneering equipment. Its highly abrasion-resistant, nontoxic tarpaulin construction and 1,000-denier polyester help it withstand scraping through narrow rock passages and bouncing against cliff faces, while reinforced bottom seams add durability where the terrain is hardest on gear. Multiple drainage grommets allow water to pass through the bottom of the pack, making it well suited to wet canyon environments. At the heart of the Rapide is SLOT's SRS rope-management system, which separates the rope from the rest of your gear and uses dedicated tie points to let you feed out a flaked rope directly from the pack while belaying, then flake it back inside after the descent. With a comfortable suspension designed to carry heavy loads, removable components, and ample interior room for rope and gear, the Rapide 38L is purpose-built for the demanding approaches, rappels, and tight passages of desert canyoneering.
