When the storm clears and the backcountry transitions from deep, velvet powder to wind-scoured ridges, the DPS Wailer A99 Alchemist stands as your most reliable partner. At 184cm, this ski bridges the gap between nimble precision and high-speed stability, thanks to the proprietary Alchemist carbon construction that strips away unwanted chatter without sacrificing the explosive energy needed to punch through variable crust. The rocker-camber-rocker profile acts like a fluid interface with the mountain, allowing for intuitive turn initiation in tight trees while providing a locked-in, confidence-inspiring grip when the snow turns firm and technical. It possesses a sophisticated, dampened personality that absorbs the erratic feedback of frozen chunder, turning long, rugged descents into a rhythmic experience of control and momentum. Whether you are navigating technical couloirs or carving wide-open faces, the 99mm waist offers enough float for soft-snow days while maintaining the lightning-fast edge-to-edge response required for unpredictable all-mountain conditions.
