From mixed climbs to pushing our way up an icy slope or waterfall, the EDELRID Riot Hammer II Ice Tool is a solid choice when we need a durable and trustworthy ice tool for whatever the mountain throws our way. This ice tool has a Technical or Type 2 rating, which means it is super durable and can withstand any abuse you can put it through on the mountain. The Riot Hammer II is EDLERID's all-around ice tool that is just at home, scaling snow-covered peaks as it is chomping into frozen waterfalls. A slightly curved aluminum shaft is lightweight and includes an adjustable handrest to aid our grip and control of the axe. A steel hammer and pick make short work out of steep terrain, placing holds and clearing away sketchy ice. The steel spike can penetrate the ice on the flatter ground for stability and helps push deep into the ice when you need to make a quick gear hold. The Riot Hammer II Ice Tool has a waterfall pick for easier penetration that results in less shattering ice, and the head can be fitted with an accelerator for easier penetration into hard ice.
