Frost-rimed chairlifts and biting alpine winds demand gear that doesn’t quit when the mercury plunges. Stio designed the Hardscrabble Insulated Glove to act as a fortress for your hands, shielding you from the elements while maintaining the tactile sensitivity needed to manage zippers, buckles, or trekking poles. We’ve mapped these with articulated fingers to ensure you aren’t fumbling when precision matters most, while the reinforced palm offers a confident, locked-in grip on icy gear. Wrapped in a water-resistant shell and packed with high-loft insulation, they create a reliable microclimate that thrives in everything from damp spring storms to deep-winter high-alpine traverses. The stretch-knit cuff cinches snugly around your wrists, effectively locking out spindrift and keeping the heat right where it belongs. Whether you are skinning through silent morning timber or navigating a windswept ridgeline, these provide a streamlined, capable balance of protection and freedom that lets you focus on the terrain ahead.
