Crisp morning air has a way of cutting through thin layers, but the Stio Pinion Down Vest acts like a personal furnace when the temperature dips. Wrapped in lightweight, recycled Pertex Quantum ripstop, this piece uses a precision micro-baffle construction to keep 800-fill HyperDRY down exactly where you need it, ensuring consistent warmth that won't migrate or flatten out. It strikes that elusive balance between a technical alpine tool and a polished daily driver, sliding easily beneath a heavy parka or acting as the anchor over a merino crew during a windy shoulder-season hike. When the sun breaks through or you reach the trailhead, it tucks away into its own internal pocket, vanishing into your pack until the next chill sets in.
