Black Diamond designed their Womens Factor Insulated Parka to bring ski-shell weather protection together with serious down warmth for colder lift-served days and storm skiing. They use stretch 2-layer BD.dry fabric with a PFAS-free DWR-treated nylon face for waterproof, breathable, and windproof coverage, then insulate it with 800-fill goose down for premium loft. A brushed microsuede standup collar adds comfort at the neck, and extended two-way armpit zip vents help regulate heat when conditions or effort levels change. The storage layout is especially thorough, with two drop-in magnetic closure pockets, two concealed-zip hand pockets, two concealed-zip chest pockets, two internal stretch-mesh drop pockets, and a lift-pass pocket on the left arm. Black Diamond also includes underarm gussets for mobility, a stowable powder skirt for deep days, and internal stretch wrist gaiters to help keep snow out. The shell, insulation, and lining are carefully layered, using a 93% nylon and 7% elastane face fabric, down insulation with a DWR treatment, and a lightweight nylon plain-weave lining.
