The sun dips below the granite ridgeline, and as the forest grows quiet, your only concern should be the route ahead rather than a curious visitor at your camp. Bear Vault engineered the BV475 Trek to act as an impenetrable vault for your provisions, stripping away the stress of wildlife encounters. Built from rugged, impact-resistant polycarbonate, this canister holds 475 cubic inches of fuel for your body, ensuring your snacks and scented sundries stay locked away without the need for cumbersome tools or fussy mechanisms. The wide-mouth design allows you to reach your gear without fumbling in the dark, and its crystal-clear walls mean you can spot exactly where your coffee stash is buried without dumping the entire contents onto the tent floor. At just over two pounds and shaped to nest neatly into your multi-day pack, it balances structural integrity with a carry that won’t weigh down your miles. Whether you are navigating dense backcountry or setting up a remote basecamp, this canister brings a sense of total assurance to the trail, letting you sleep soundly knowing your supplies remain exactly where you left them.
