It features premium Primaloft Gold insulation, which provides similar warmth for the weight as 750 fill-power down while tolerating sweat and precipitation much better than down. Black Diamond has also upped this parka's durability with a ripstop face fabric and a new, relaxed fit that allows for easier layering underneath. We like this jacket for cold winter climbs and also like how this jacket uses materials certified for the lowest impact on people and the environment.
