The Black Crows Ferox Freebird 2022/23 answers this challenge with an intuitive 110mm platform that pivots effortlessly in tight trees while maintaining a planted, reliable sensation when the terrain opens up. By integrating a poplar core with a strategically placed Titanal plate underfoot, the design dampens vibration without the sluggishness of traditional heavy chargers, allowing you to flick the skis around in narrow couloirs or arc wide, rhythmic turns in soft, high-alpine bowls. The blend of a double-rocker profile and classic medium camber creates a precise interface with the slope, offering enough float to stay on top of the debris and the stability needed to drive through chopped-up snow after a storm. Whether you are navigating technical, high-consequence lines or chasing long-distance tours where efficiency is non-negotiable, these skis deliver a playful, snappy response that rewards a proactive skiing style.
