Black Diamond built their Alpenglow Hoody for sunny days when lightweight coverage and cooling comfort matter just as much as stretch and mobility. The pullover delivers UPF 40+ sun protection and uses a polyester stretch textured knit fabric made from 87% polyester and 13% elastane at 200 gsm. The brands BD.cool in-fabric cooling technology is designed to help reduce perceived temperature in direct sun, making the hoody more comfortable during long exposed efforts. Polygiene odor control technology is built in to help keep the fabric feeling fresher between washes. An under-the-helmet hood extends coverage without getting in the way of technical layering. Underarm gussets add range of motion, which is especially useful on the wall, on trail, or whenever overhead movement is constant. A small hip pocket sized for a credit card adds low-profile storage for a simple essential. At 197 grams, this hoody brings together cooling tech, odor control, sun protection, and movement-focused comfort in a highly useful mountain layer.
