Their single-weave 85% nylon and 15% elastane fabric has a 148 gsm construction that feels light and stretchy while still holding up to repeated use. A PFAS-free DWR finish adds light weather resistance, which helps during shifting alpine conditions and cool-morning starts. They built in harness-compatible front zip pockets plus a right-side zip pocket to keep smaller essentials secure and easy to reach. Articulated knees, a gusseted inseam, and a regular fit help the pants move cleanly through stems, scrambles, and long approaches. An adjustable webbing belt with an aluminum G-Hook keeps the waist streamlined, and CordLock-adjustable hems help the fit adapt around footwear. At 311 grams with a 31.25-inch inseam, Black Diamond gave their Alpine Light Pants a streamlined setup for big days where low weight and unrestricted movement matter.
