Their single-weave fabric blends 85% nylon and 15% elastane in a 148 gsm build, giving the pants a light, flexible feel that still stands up to repeated movement. A PFAS-free DWR finish adds protection against light precipitation, making them a practical choice for unpredictable shoulder-season conditions. They included harness-compatible front zip pockets and a right-side zip pocket so smaller essentials stay put on route or in the backcountry. Articulated knees, a regular fit, and CordLock-adjustable hems help the pants move well and dial in cleanly over different footwear. The integrated webbing belt with an aluminum G-Hook keeps adjustment quick and low profile. At 278 grams with a 30-inch inseam, Black Diamond gave their Alpine Light Pants the kind of airy, packable performance that works for all-day climbs, wall missions, and long approaches.
