Before the sun crests the ridge, you need a layer that breathes as hard as your lungs are working. The Black Diamond Fleece Jacket masters the temperature swing between grueling ascent and frigid belay station through its interior. Its fleece lining functions like a heat-sink, dumping excess humidity the moment you pick up the pace while locking in core warmth when the wind kicks up at higher elevations. Cut with a lean, athletic profile, it tucks effortlessly under a shell or harness, shedding bulk without sacrificing mobility. The single chest pocket keeps a snack or topo map within arm’s reach. Whether you are navigating technical granite slabs or pushing through a dawn-patrol tour, this piece acts as a second skin that refuses to let sweat compromise your focus.
