Black Diamond designed their Recon Stretch Pants for skiers who want a weatherproof pant that can still move naturally through touring and riding days. Their BD.dry 3-layer fabric delivers waterproof, breathable, and windproof protection with four-way stretch and a PFAS-free DWR finish to better handle storm cycles and variable snow. The material is rated to 20,000 mm waterproofness and 20,000 g/m2/24hr breathability, giving these pants the performance needed for deep days and long climbs alike. Movement-focused patterning, articulated knees and seat, and gusseted construction help the fit stay comfortable when booting, skinning, or dropping in. Two zippered thigh pockets provide quick access to essentials, and the right side includes a low-profile electronics pocket with a tether for more secure carry. Their contoured waistband adds coverage and fine-tuning with side Velcro adjusters, a snap closure, and belt loops, while offset side vents help release heat on the skin track. Reinforced instep patches, a high-mounted snow gaiter, a 32-inch inseam, and an integrated RECCO reflector finish the build with the protection and mountain utility ski-focused users look for.
