Black Diamond designed their Solution 2.0 Jacket as a lightweight insulated layer that balances everyday wearability with mountain-minded performance. They build it with a 20D nylon shell and a lightweight polyester lining, and both fabrics use a PFAS-free DWR treatment for added weather resistance. For warmth, they use 60 grams of PrimaLoft Gold Eco synthetic insulation, which gives the jacket dependable loft while remaining highly compressible. Their pocket layout includes two zippered hand pockets plus an external zippered chest pocket, giving it practical storage for daily essentials and trail extras alike. Stretch knit cuffs help seal out drafts, while the cordlock-adjustable hem lets wearers fine-tune the fit when temperatures drop. Black Diamond also made it pack into the left hand pocket, so it is easy to stash in a daypack or travel bag when conditions improve. With a listed weight of 308 grams, this is their versatile insulated jacket for cool commutes, shoulder-season hikes, and active days that call for warmth without excess bulk.
