They use 17-denier stretch nylon with BD.dry 3-layer construction, a jersey backer, and a PFAS-free DWR finish, creating a shell that is waterproof, breathable, windproof, and comfortable against the body. Black Diamond rates the fabric at 20,000 mm waterproofness and 20,000 g per square meter per 24 hours of breathability, which gives this jacket technical credentials to match its clean profile. Fully taped seams and a sleek YKK Conceal front zipper help lock out moisture, while zippered armpit vents provide ventilation when effort levels rise. The adjustable, climbing-helmet-compatible hood and adjustable cuffs allow the fit to be dialed in for changing weather and layering needs. Two zippered hand pockets keep essentials secure, and the jacket packs into the right-hand pocket for easy storage in a pack.
