When the morning light hits the corduroy and the air bites with that sharp, crystalline cold, you want a tool that translates your intent directly to the snow. The Blizzard Black Pearl 88, paired here with Look NX 12 bindings, offers a masterclass in fluidity, turning the mountain into a seamless canvas rather than a series of obstacles. At the heart of this setup is the TrueBlend Flipcore construction, a sophisticated layering of woods that provides an intuitive flex—snappy enough to energize your carved turns, yet substantial enough to quiet the chatter when the groomers get tracked out or the wind-blown patches appear. With an 88mm waist, these skis strike a rare balance between quick edge-to-edge transitions and the necessary platform to stay composed through variable afternoon slush or light fresh accumulations.

TECH SPECS

Blizzard Plack Pearl 88

  • Rocker Type
    • Rocker Camber Rocker: Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.
  • Core
    • TrueBlend W.S.D. All Mountain Core: TrueBlend core of Beech with seven stringers of Poplar, tailor-made for each length of ski, using lighter Women's Specific Design woods
  • Laminates
    • Two-Piece W.S.D. Titanal Laminate for Grip and Stability: No longer a single sheet of Titanal, the 2025 Black Pearl uses a two-piece laminate with a sheet of fiberglass in between the layers. The upper layer of metal resembles the shape of the FluxForm Titanal layer in the Sheeva skis and the lower layer fills in the gap in the center.
  • Sidewalls
    • Sandwich Compound Sidewall: All Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.
  • Base: Sintered Graphite Base
  • Terrain: Carving, All-Mountain
  • Tail Type: Partial twin
  • Size: 164cm
  • Dimensions (Tip/Waist/Tail): 126/88/109 mm
  • Turning Radius: 14 m
