The trail ahead is a blur of loose rock and technical root sections, but you barely notice the terrain when your power transfer is this direct. The Bontrager XXX LTD mountain bike shoes act as a seamless extension of your drivetrain, built around a full OCLV carbon sole that hits a perfect 14 on the stiffness index. When you are hammering out of a corner or driving hard through a cyclocross mud pit, the dual IP1 BOA dials allow you to independently micro-adjust the fit across the foot, locking you into an ergonomic position that stays comfortable long after the sun dips behind the ridge.
