Sun-drenched alpine ridges often turn into chilly, windswept descents before the day is out, and Columbia designed these trousers to handle that volatility without missing a beat. Woven with a nimble two-way stretch, the fabric moves with the fluid precision required for scrambling over boulder fields or navigating tight switchbacks, while articulated knees ensure that high-stepping up a steep incline never feels restrictive. When the temperature spikes mid-morning, the legs zip off effortlessly, transforming your gear into shorts that are ready for a brisk pace. Should you encounter a sudden mountain mist or a spilled trail snack, the advanced repellency finish beads moisture away, keeping the material clean and light.
