What Our Gearhead Experts Are Saying:
"I run the XG-1271 on my gravel rig and it’s been flawless. The 10–44t range gives me the climbing gears I need without massive jumps, and shifts stay smooth even under load. It’s light, tough, and plays perfectly with my Force XPLR drivetrain."
For gravel racers and all-road adventurers, the SRAM XG-1271 D1 Cassette hits the sweet spot between wide-range gearing and tight, consistent jumps. Built for the XPLR 1x gravel ecosystem, this cassette offers a 10–44t range that gives us the low gears we need for punchy climbs and the high end for spinning fast on pavement or smooth dirt.
It uses SRAM’s MINI CLUSTER construction, where the three largest cogs are pinned to lightweight alloy and the rest are machined from a single piece of steel. This keeps weight low without compromising durability. The XG-1271 also features SRAM’s X-Range and X-Glide technologies for seamless shifting across the full cassette—even when we’re pushing the pace or grinding up steep grades. Whether it's a gravel race, weekend escape, or long day in the drops, this cassette keeps our cadence steady and our drivetrain dialed.
XG-1271 D1 cassette delivers wide-range, gravel-tuned gearing for fast mixed terrain (DWGCAW8)
