Answering the call of more and more cyclists taking their drop bar bikes off-road and seeking a flared handlebar comes the G Series Gravel Handlebar from ENVE. Like everything coming out of the Ogden, UT firm, extensive research and development went into this purpose built carbon drop bar with some really special features and details making it the ideal choice when lightweight, comfort, control, and reliability are not just nice benefits, they're requirements. Equally at home on a gravel race machine, as it is finding more comfortable hand positions during a week-long bikepacking tour, this full carbon handlebar provides the proper lay-up, measurements, and angles to provide confidence on every ride.

The rise of gravel specific components continues to grow and as one of three critical touch points, the handlebar is certainly an area that deserved some attention. When faced with uneven terrain, steep washboard descents, and longer events, having some flare in the drops can provide more, comfort, control, and confidence but the challenge is nailing the right angles and widths. Riding mountain bikes has taught us that wider handlebars can improve control, especially in technical terrain. Conversely, riding road bikes favors narrower bars, as long as its ergonomically comfortable, for better aerodynamics. This is why ENVE developed the G Series Handlebar with widths ranging from 42 to 48cm, measured center to center in the hoods, while the drop measurement is a full 12cm wider across all sizes.

ENVE further refined the ride by using carbon fiber laminates and a strict layup schedule so the G Series Handlebar can flex in a controlled manner and absorb and damp riding imperfections, thus minimizing fatigue. Each handlebar is sized tuned to ensure that the ride quality is consistent for smaller and larger riders alike. Throughout the bar, thoughtful shaping was carefully considered, maximizing hand positions. In fact, the only round sections are the clamping zones for the stem and controls. The transition from the tops of the bar is to the hood location is wide with a tight radius for a flatter transition to the controls and better ergonomics. There you will find cable ports for easy and discrete electronic shifting set up and the bar is also Shimano bar-end junction box (EW-RS910) compatible.

At the drops, the G Series handlebar features a compound bend allowing for two different hand positions. The first bend lets you reap the benefits of the wider flare and as you get near the end of the drops, it begins to flatten out preventing the feeling of a slipping hand off the drops compared to other flare style handlebars.
