The morning dew clinging to the switchbacks is no match for the Targhee IV, a boot engineered to vanish from your thoughts the moment you start climbing. KEEN has moved beyond traditional adhesives, employing a mechanical fusion process that locks the sole to the upper for a bond that refuses to peel, even after seasons of grinding through jagged scree and root-choked paths. Inside, a breathable waterproof membrane keeps mountain streams and unexpected squalls at bay while the high-rebound cushioning absorbs the harsh impact of heavy-pack descents. With deep, aggressive lugs biting into slick rock and an external shank stabilizing every uneven footfall, these boots turn punishing terrain into steady ground.
