The first light of dawn on a jagged ridgeline often bites with a cold that cuts straight through standard layers, but the La Sportiva Quake PrimaLoft Jacket thrives in that transition. Engineered with PrimaLoft Silver insulation, this piece masters the art of heat retention without the restrictive heft of traditional winter gear. When you are navigating steep couloirs or pushing through a rhythmic skin track toward a wind-scoured summit, the breathable chassis works in lockstep with your exertion levels to dump excess heat before it turns to dampness. The sleeves are mapped with articulation that mirrors natural movement, ensuring that reaching for a rock hold or adjusting your gear never pulls the hem out of place. Tucked behind the full-length front zipper, a dedicated wind flap acts as a silent barrier against biting gusts, while the internal chest pocket keeps essential navigation tools or electronics sheltered from the frost.
