Their design uses 1,000 cuin down, with insulation accounting for a major portion of the jacket's total weight for a powerful warmth-to-weight ratio. The 3D chamber construction helps reduce cold spots and improves thermal performance when conditions are unforgiving. Pertex Quantum with Diamond Fuse technology adds abrasion resistance for rugged terrain, ice, and pack wear. The helmet-compatible hood uses a mesh visor and silicone grip strip to stay secure while maintaining coverage. A double-slider central zipper, harness-compatible invisible zippered hand pockets, and an elastic drawcord hem support technical use in the field. Packability into an included stow bag, reflective sleeve detailing, PFC-free DWR finishing, recycled materials, and an included repair patch kit make this parka built for serious cold-weather climbs.
