The following observations were made regarding this item: *There are no holes or rips on the shoes. The Moab 3 Mid Hiking Boot is our ticket to a good day on the trail. Leather and mesh in the upper mix strength with ventilation to ensure a lasting lifetime and fresher feet throughout the day. The mid-height is supported with a nylon arch shank to keep us from rolling an ankle if we slip on loose scree. Inside, it has extra cushioning where our feet are impacted most while outside a Vibram rubber sole provides unrelenting traction.
