A sudden shift in the alpine weather doesn’t have to dictate the end of your day. Whether you are navigating a damp ridgeline or ducking into a forest grove for shelter, the Mountain Equipment Co-op lightweight waterproof shell acts as a reliable barrier against the elements. Built with NanoPro technology, this layer balances complete moisture protection with the breathability needed for high-output climbs. When the pace picks up and you start to heat up, the underarm zipper vents allow for instant airflow without needing to shed your layers entirely. The fabric feels substantial yet remarkably packable, tucking easily into a side pocket of your pack for those "just in case" moments. With fully sealed seams and a chin guard, this piece is engineered to keep you comfortable during long, exposed hours in the backcountry. This is the versatile workhorse that stays in your kit from the first frost of spring to the final golden days of autumn.
