Scrambling up sun-baked granite or pushing through overgrown switchbacks requires gear that acts as a second skin rather than a hurdle. The Mountain Hardwear Basin Trek Short thrives in these unpredictable environments, utilizing a high-tenacity, abrasion-resistant weave that fends off sharp brush and jagged rock without dragging you down with extra weight. The fabric possesses an inherent, fluid stretch, allowing for high-stepping maneuvers over creek crossings or long, steady climbs where freedom of movement is non-negotiable. With a suite of intuitive, secure pockets keeping your trail map and compass within reach, these shorts shift effortlessly from deep-woods navigation to post-hike stops in town.
