The sun tracks across the high alpine, but your focus remains sharp, shielded by the fabric tech of this Mountain Hardwear Crater Lake Zip Hoody. Engineered for those who prefer to spend their hours above the treeline, the material feels barely there against the skin while acting as a persistent barrier against harsh rays. Whether you are navigating a sun-drenched scramble or moving quickly through exposed ridges, the moisture-wicking weave pulls sweat away from the body to keep you dry when the effort ramps up. A clean, full-zip design allows for instant climate control, and the close-fitting hood pulls double duty under a helmet or provides extra neck coverage when the UV index spikes. With thumbholes that keep the sleeves locked in place during reachy moves, this layer moves like a second skin, disappearing into the background of your climb so you can stay fully tuned into the granite under your fingertips.
