The 800-fill RDS-certified goose down is treated with Nikwax's FC-free hydrophobic coating, which means the insulation holds its loft through condensation and the kind of ambient moisture that collects in a tent at altitude. The 20D Pertex Quantum shell repels surface moisture and resists punctures without adding unnecessary weight. A 3/4-length zipper keeps the footbox sealed and heat contained, and the internal 3D draft collar closes off the one place warmth consistently escapes. It stuffs down to under 16 inches, which leaves room in the pack for everything else the route requires.
