The high-alpine sun doesn’t just warm the skin; it drains your energy with every relentless hour spent above the treeline. Outdoor Research engineered the ActiveIce Chroma Sun Gloves to turn that intensity into an asset, utilizing fabric technology that actively cools your hands as you sweat. Whether you are gripping trekking poles on a steep scree slope or finessing a complex knot on a exposed rock ledge, the synthetic suede palms provide a confident, tactile hold that feels like a second skin. The stretch-knit construction moves precisely with your hands, eliminating the bulk often found in protective gear, while the touchscreen-compatible fingertips mean you can check your GPS or capture a mountain vista without exposing your skin to the glare.
