Crunching through crusty alpine snow or navigating the debris of a rain-soaked scree slope requires confidence in your gear, and these Crocodile Gaiters from Outdoor Research act as your primary line of defense. Built with a fortress-like 1000D Cordura base, they shrug off sharp rocks and icy crampon points that would shred lesser fabrics, while the breathable three-layer GORE-TEX upper ensures moisture from your exertion escapes before it turns into a clammy interior. We designed the fit specifically to wrap securely around high-volume mountaineering boots, using a wide front closure that seals tight against the elements without fumbling with gear while wearing thick gloves.
