Scrambling over sun-baked granite or picking your way through a rain-slicked forest requires gear that moves like a second skin rather than a barrier. Patagonia Quandary Pants are engineered for exactly these shifts in terrain, built from a high-performance, stretch-woven blend that refuses to bind when you reach for that high step or navigate a technical switchback. The fabric feels lightweight and airy against the skin, yet it’s tough enough to brush against abrasive rock without snagging. With a water-repellent finish that shrugs off morning dew and UPF 40+ protection to shield you during long hours in the alpine, these pants are as ready for a spontaneous jump in an icy creek as they are for a dusty, sun-drenched approach.
