The road stretches into a shimmering ribbon of heat haze, and your connection to the bike becomes the only thing that matters. Pearl Izumi designed these Road Race V5 BOA shoes to eliminate the friction between your intent and the pavement, building them around a rigid composite sole that channels every ounce of energy directly into the drivetrain. Instead of fiddling with cumbersome straps mid-ride, the BOA fit system provides a surgical, micro-adjustable hold that stays locked in place through steep climbs and high-wattage sprints. The upper is engineered to cradle the foot with a glove-like consistency, shedding bulk without sacrificing the structural integrity needed for long, grueling days in the saddle.
