When the trail turns steep, loose, or disappears into a scramble, the Pearl Izumi X-ALP Launch provides the confidence to keep moving forward. These shoes move away from the rigid, unforgiving feel of traditional race gear, opting instead for a balanced construction that prioritizes power on the pedals without punishing your feet when the terrain mandates a hike. The dual-compound rubber outsole and strategic lug pattern act like mountain goat hooves on slick rock, biting into the dirt when you’re off the bike and navigating technical transitions. Built with a reinforced toe box to deflect stray roots and debris, the design keeps you shielded during rowdy enduro descents, while the internal EVA midsole softens the vibration of high-speed chatter.
