This headlamp features a red lighting mode to preserve night vision and prevent blinding others in your group. Its reflective headband helps you to be seen when a light is shone on it. It is powered by either the Petzl Core battery (included), rechargeable with a micro-USB cord (not included), OR with 3 AAA batteries.
