The Rab Valiance, the climate remains entirely your own. This piece thrives where others falter, bridging the gap between a technical storm shell and a heavy-duty belay parka. By wrapping 800-fill goose down in a Pertex Shield waterproof exterior, the design eliminates the age-old compromise of having to choose between staying dry or staying warm. The loft inside stays dry and effective,  whether you are navigating a damp approach or bracing against a gale at a high-altitude pass, the wired peak of the hood locks out the elements while the zippers seal against the drift. It feels less like wearing a coat and more like carrying a portable micro-climate, built for those who find their rhythm precisely when the conditions turn demanding.
