When the wind kicks up across the high plains or a sudden mountain storm threatens your basecamp, you want a shelter that stands firm rather than one that flutters. The REI Co-op Base Camp 6 utilizes a robust, semi-geodesic dome architecture that acts like an anchor, turning a frantic night of weather into a peaceful sleep. Standing over six feet tall at the peak, the interior offers enough vertical space to change comfortably or play cards without hunching over, while the expansive floor plan welcomes the whole crew with room to spare. Managing camp chaos is intuitive thanks to the color-coded pole system, meaning you’re spending less time wrestling with hardware and more time watching the fire.
