Frosty mornings at the trailhead demand a foundation that works as hard as the little explorers wearing it. The REI Co-op Midweight Base Layer Crew Top acts like a second skin, balancing the heat generated during a steep ascent with the chill that settles in once the pace slows down. Engineered from a blend of polyester and spandex, this piece offers enough mechanical stretch to handle everything from frantic snowball fights to technical navigation through snowy glades. Because the fabric is engineered to pull moisture away from the body and dry in a heartbeat, there is no need to worry about the damp, heavy feeling that often follows high-intensity movement.
