The biting chill of an early alpine start demands a layer that works as hard as the climb ahead. REI Coop engineered this piece with a refined grid-fleece interior that manages your internal climate with precision; the raised channels pull moisture away from the skin while locking in essential warmth during high-output efforts. Whether you are navigating a damp ridgeline in the mist or grabbing a coffee before a long commute, the streamlined silhouette moves with you, never bunching under a pack or shell. The stand-up collar offers a quick refuge from gusty winds, and the quarter-zip provides instant ventilation when the trail turns steep. It is the kind of reliable staple that disappears into your kit until you need it, proving that the best gear is the kind you stop noticing once the adventure hits its stride.
