When the storm cycle breaks and the high alpine holds a bottomless, untracked canvas, the Rossignol Sender Free 118 becomes your most reliable partner. Built with a robust poplar core and reinforced by Diago Fiber, these planks possess the rare ability to hunt down high-speed lines while retaining a playfulness that turns daunting wind-buff and deep pockets into a private playground. The 118mm platform provides an effortless surf-like sensation, yet the full sidewall construction ensures you remain locked in and vibration-free when the snow transitions from soft fluff to wind-scoured crust. By integrating Air Tip technology, the designers have successfully stripped away unnecessary swing weight, allowing for quick, instinctual pivots in tight chutes or creative maneuvers off natural features. Paired here with the Look SPX 12 bindings, the setup translates your every micro-movement directly into the snowpack, offering a stable, damp ride that invites you to push deeper into the backcountry. Whether you are navigating wide-open bowls or threading the needle through gladed terrain, this rig is tuned for those who demand precision under their feet without sacrificing the raw, kinetic joy of a big-mountain descent.
