Carving through a sun-drenched morning groomer before ducking into a hidden powder stash is exactly what the Salomon Assassin 153cm was built to handle. This board thrives on a restless spirit, utilizing its Rock Out Camber to bite into icy traverses while remaining supple enough to butter over park transitions. Its True Twin geometry offers a predictable, intuitive feel that encourages you to switch your stance as often as you switch your focus. Beneath your feet, the Popster core construction translates your energy directly into explosive snap, turning every cat track side-hit into a launchpad.

TECH SPECS

  • Camber:
    • Rock Out Camber (Camber+Rocker): Flat profile between the bindings for stability, camber underfoot for responsiveness and a rocker at both ends to optimise pressability. The Rock Out Camber is designed for high-level performance in the snowpark thanks to its blend of flat profiles, cambers and rockers for comfort underfoot and very responsive turn initiation.
  • Shape:
    • Twin Directionnel : A Twin shape for freestyle moves with a directional flex for power at high-speed. Binding stance is slightly set back from centre.
    • Quadralizer : The explosive combination of Equalizer and Quadratic means you can carve at great speed and it gives you exceptional edge control during narrow passages.
    • Freestyle EB: The angle of the edges is softened at the ends, with a 2-degree bevel on the key parts of the sidecut, which then drops to a 3-degree bevel between the feet. This gives flawless edge hold and increased flexibility on the slopes.
  • Core:
    • Popster Eco Booster: The Popster Booster core, which also features bamboo stems, offers the highest level of spring and performance, all in an eco-friendly way.
    • Royal Cork Rails: Instead of using rubber, thick cork is used (because it is more environmentally friendly) to absorb shocks and vibrations while respecting Mother Nature.
  • Base:
    • Sintered EG: Engineered for a super fast glide in everything from fresh pow to sticky spring snow. The sintered material provides superior wax retention, the gallium strengthens impact resistance and the Electra finish allows for record speed.
  • Topsheet :
    • ABC Wrapper: More pop, less plastic! A patented process involving bamboo rods is used to reduce fibreglass and resin content in each board by 40%. Traditional ABS edges get the axe - replaced instead by waterproof bamboo rods.
  • Technologies:
  • Aspen SLCT: Every single strip of wood is hand selected by experts. This ensures unparalleled core quality and lightness
  • Dimensions (Tip/Waist/Tail): 295/251/295 mm
  • Turning Radius: 7.5 m
