Muddy switchbacks and slick granite demand more than just standard footwear; they require a partner that refuses to slide when the terrain turns temperamental. Salomon built the Cross Hike 2 Mid GTX Boots to act as an extension of your own agility, swapping clunky boot aesthetics for a streamlined, feline-like precision. With deep, multi-directional lugs that bite aggressively into loose scree and soft loam, this boot turns precarious descents into opportunities for momentum. The seamless, closed-mesh upper creates a fortified barrier against intrusive debris, while the integrated Gore-Tex membrane ensures that rain-soaked trails or unexpected stream crossings never dampen your pace. Beneath your feet, EnergyCell EVA foam absorbs the harsh impact of rocky miles, and the mid-height collar offers just enough stability to navigate uneven ridgelines without sacrificing the fluid, lightweight feel of a trail runner. Whether you are chasing the shifting weather of a high-altitude pass or navigating dense, damp forest floors, the Quicklace system allows for a swift, precise fit that stays locked in place from the trailhead to the summit.
