The jagged ridgeline ahead is less of a challenge and more of an invitation when your feet feel this dialed-in. Salomon designed the X Ultra Pioneer MID CSWP to act as a natural extension of your stride, blending the nimble agility of a trail runner with the heavy-duty confidence of a mountain boot. As you navigate loose scree and rain-slicked granite, the Advanced Chassis works behind the scenes to stabilize your gait, while the aggressive lug pattern bites into uneven ground with unwavering resolve. Inside, the ClimaSalomon Waterproof membrane seals out slush and stream crossings, yet breathes enough to keep you comfortable during high-output scrambles. With SensiFit cradling the midfoot and EnergyCell foam absorbing the repetitive impact of long-distance miles, you can keep your focus on the horizon rather than the rocks beneath your boots. Whether you are aiming for a sunrise summit or navigating the muddy slog of a shoulder-season trek, this mid-cut profile provides that elusive balance of armored protection and lightweight freedom, ensuring you stay upright, dry, and ready for the next peak.
