The transition from damp pavement to winding forest singletrack should be seamless, not a gear-swapping ordeal. The Salomon XR Mission 1 thrives in this gray area, acting as a bridge between the predictability of neighborhood streets and the unpredictable nature of backcountry paths. Beneath your feet, the Contagrip outsole bites into loose dirt and slick rock with equal confidence, while the lightweight muscle chassis provides the snap and stability needed to navigate technical sections without feeling weighed down.
