It is especially effective at altitudes where bright conditions can become exponentially more powerful from the glare created when powerful mid-day sun reflects off snow. The Lowdown's scratch and impact-resistant lenses are made using Tapered Lens Technology (TLT) which corrects the distortion common in curved lenses by progressively changing the thickness of the lens from the optical center.
