When the wind picks up on an exposed ridgeline or the temperature dips during a slow-moving morning commute, the Stio Pinion Down Hooded Jacket becomes an essential part of the kit. Stuffed with 800-fill HyperDRY goose down, it traps warmth with remarkable efficiency while resisting the moisture that often compromises lesser insulation. The nylon micro-ripstop shell balances a soft, quiet hand-feel with the rugged durability needed for scraping against granite or navigating tight gear-laden spaces. Thoughtful details like the low-profile hood—engineered to move with your head rather than against it—and a trio of zippered pockets keep essentials secure and accessible. Whether you are stuffing it into a pack for a mid-winter ascent or wearing it as a reliable layer under a shell, this jacket disappears into your movement, offering high-loft protection that transitions effortlessly from alpine exposure to city streets.
